The Jersey City Fund is a loan fund dedicated to helping Jersey City-based businesses grow and advance.

Through the cooperative efforts of lending partners such as Jersey City Economic Development Corporation and The 504 Company, The Jersey City Fund’s goal is to assist, promote and advance the business prosperity and economic welfare of Jersey City by providing loans to small businesses. These loans are made to start-ups, early-stage and mature businesses, with an emphasis on minority- and women-owned businesses. The loans may be used for a range of purposes including purchasing new equipment, increasing inventory, hiring new workers, and more.

The Jersey City Fund strives to be more creative in its underwriting, and in many cases, we include multiple participations, SBA guarantees, flexible amortization and long-term payouts.

The Jersey City Fund products include:

• $10 million to support SBA Community Advantage loans to small businesses in Jersey City. Loan amounts range from $25,000 to $250,000 to eligible, for-profit businesses located in Jersey City. In addition, there are loans ranging from $50,000 to $5,500,000 to support capital projects (including the purchase and/or renovation of real estate and equipment) through the SBA 504 Loan Program.
